Benjamin Lorch
Founder, Friend and Lead Instructor
Berlin School of Podcasting
Benjamin is a professional podcaster and the founder of The Berlin School of Podcasting. The focus of his work is international education and civil society efforts. His clients include The Robert Bosch Foundation, The Green European Foundation and The International Alumni Center Berlin. His dramatic radio work has also appeared on KCRW FM Berlin.
Benjamin also runs ЯesonatoR Radio which produces podcasts and supporting audio for international conferences, events and university-based projects.
An educator and expert on intercultural exchange programs and partnerships, he has grounded two European business schools, one international study center and inaugurated a computer coding bootcamp within Germany's #1 ranked business school (ESMT Berlin.) He lectures and consults with students and experts at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin). More on Ben’s professional background here on LinkedIn.
Born in Boston, Ben came of age in Chicago, the fountainhead of podcasting, he would argue. In 2006 he returned to his German roots and moved to Berlin. Raised on radio and perpetually listening, Ben knows that stories allow us to inhabit the experiences of others and simultaneously learn something more about ourselves.
“Benjamin has a passion for podcasting and for his students. He creates a space for people to step in and contribute in an atmosphere of honest curiosity that is always friendly and approachable. I truly appreciated his authentic, hands-on, competent way of leading the seminars.”
Gábor - Systemic Consultant & Leadership Coach, Germany
“I worked with Ben on the conceptualization, implementation promotion of a podcast series entitled Education in Europe. Throughout the entire process, Ben has been a great listener and a dedicated and professional podcaster able to transform our vision into reality. He’s a pleasure to work with, easy-going and positive, and it was beautiful to see how he did not only engage in thorough research on the topic, but also grew equally passionate and visionary on the topic of the podcast. It’s a pleasure to recommend him”
Ioana Banach Sirbu - Managing Director at Green European Foundation
“Benjamin was critical in the creation of the Voices for Transitional Justice podcast, for which he provided a two-day training as well as production support. Working with him was an enjoyable experience because of his curiosity, humor and passion. But most importantly, Benjamin knows how to get you and others to sound good.”
Matthias Auer - Communications Manager & Conflict Transformation Research, Berghof Foundation
“A mastermind of podcasting.”
