Learn how to produce engaging podcasts, radio features and long-form audio by improving skills in storytelling, interviewing, recording, mixing and editing.
In one week you will produce a short feature story and learn how to systematically make more episodes in the future.
Taught in-person at Publix Berlin by top podcasting professionals, this course includes a master class session par excellence.
Transom in Europe is an accelerated, world-class residential program for the energized and fearless of all generations. No prior podcasting experience is necessary.

The Guest House at Publix
During this residential program you will stay in the beautifully appointed Publix Guesthouse. Accommodation is included in the tuition. Single rooms and one double are available.

David Weinberg
David Weinberg has won multiple journalism awards, including a national Edward R. Murrow award for feature reporting for "Mr. Fries Man." David is a former reporter at Marketplace. His work has been featured on The World, 99% Invisible, Wiretap, Love + Radio and WWOZ, and he produced the podcast Random Tape. His print work has been published in the New York Times.

Sarah Koenig
Sarah Koenig co-created and hosts Serial, the award-winning and most listened-to non-fiction narrative podcast ever. Her breakthrough work brought podcasting into the mainstream. Serial won the Peabody Award, a first for a podcast production and Koenig was named one of Time magazine’s Most Influential 100 People of 2015. Sarah, along with Julie Snyder formed Serial Productions which continues to set the gold-standard in investigative audio reporting and storytelling. They produce amazing, incredibly well-researched podcasts, very popular around the world. Serial Productions joined the New York Times Company in 2020 and you can join Sarah this summer at The Berlin School of Podcasting.

Benjamin Lorch
Benjamin Lorch is a professional podcaster and the founder of The Berlin School of Podcasting. The focus of his work is international education and civil society efforts. His podcasting clients include The Robert Bosch Foundation, The Green European Foundation and The International Alumni Center Berlin and Mizter Rad. His dramatic radio work has also appeared on KCRW FM Berlin.
